HIBB and Co. Togo, LLB Bio-Forest Togo

The project originally began in 1997 and has planted 42,000 Eucalyptus Trees, 4500 Mango Trees and 250 Lime Trees. In June 2012, the project planted an extra 6,015 Acacia Trees and 500 Cacia Trees. The new total of trees planted is 53,265. It has been verified under the CDM.

The project has been designed by an independent self-employed financial management consultant. The forest is Bioagricert certified since 2012, and has been trying since 2013 to validate and verify under the VCS standard. It has faced some challenges because of the difficulties receiving basic documentary and information from Togolese environmental authorities.
