Scott Stanley

Scott has been in Indonesia for more than 11 years; initially working two years with Harvard University leading a community- based forest management project. Afterwards, Scott went on to develop a large-scale conservation program for The Nature Conservancy in East Kalimantan Province, where he managed that program for five years. The TNC East Kalimantan Program focused on conserving two large upper watersheds covering more than 1 million hectares of tropical forest. From 2000 through 2005, these TNC sites demonstrated almost no deforestation, while the rest of the province lost 26% of its lowland forest
