I have over 15 years of experience in natural resource management encompassing the experiences with forest-dependent communities, government, multi-lateral and bi-lateral organisations and the private intuitions. Since 2009 I am working in the areas of climate change mitigation through REDD+ initiatives and has been recognised as expert for REDD+ Methodology as well as Jurisdictional and Nested REDD+ Program under the VCS and also listed in the roster of A/R methodology under the UNFCCC-CDM Program. I have an updated knowledge on the UNFCCC negotiations and CP decisions relevant to REDD+ mechanism. I also have a good understanding of REDD+ readiness and implementation at national, sub-national and local levels involving communities and stakeholders in Nepal. Recently, I have prepared low carbon development strategy for forestry sector in Nepal through assessing various REDD+ activities and developed a national plan of action for 2015 to 2025 for green economic development through engaging all relevant stakeholders. This action plan primarily focused on sustainable development, poverty reduction, gender inclusion and equitable benefit sharing. I have an excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to work in multinational and diverse teams with a strong commitment to the delivery of outcomes within the budget and timeframe. I have a PhD degree in Resource Management and Environmental Science from the Australian National University and Masters degrees in Forestry and Sociology.
