David creates and supervises data management and analysis systems, directs the organization’s finances and accounting, and aids in the supervision of project development and operations management in Nicaragua. He is also Taking Root’s chief carbon footprint analyst.
David’s skill set includes quantitative and spatial analysis, database development, financial management, environmental policy analysis and fluency in Spanish. He holds a Master’s of Public Affairs from the University of Texas – LBJ School of Public Affairs. Amongst other endeavours, he has worked for a McGill University policy institute, an orphanage in Honduras, and an environmental consulting firm in Washington, D.C. He has also consulted for various social justice and smallholder reforestation projects throughout the Americas.
